Sinterklaas is Coming!

In the Netherlands, Sinterklaas arrives Saturday by boat but they celebrate his birthday December 5th with presents. In the weeks between his arrival and his birthday, children put their shoes one or two times a week in front of the fireplace with their wishlist, drawings and carrot/hay/apple/sugar cups/water for the horse and sing Sinterklaas songs before they go to sleep. The next morning they find a little present or candy in their shoe. In honor of this tradition, Karen has drawn these fabulous images.
